The course was in excellent shape, good tee boxes of varying lengths, some really long in my opinion. The fairway and rough were in good condition, as were the greens. The layout was fun and interesting with wide playable fairways. The cost was very good. I paid $50 with a lunch and bucket of balls. They even had a mercy maid during the week.
Played here with some friends who are members. It was great as they were telling us the best places to aim. We had a very nice time, played in a little over 4 hours, it was a bit busy. Course was in very good shape. Everyone at the clubhouse and proshop were very nice and helpful.
We recently held a Celebration of Life and I want to say Deanna was great to work with and accommodating as my request to RSVP was with a short notice.
We held it in the Sierra Room, the room was ok, the carpet could be cleaned and/or updated. The water jug ran out toward the end of the service and I didn’t see a server in view to request for it to get refilled. Other than that, it was a pleasure holding our event with Deanna’s help.
The greens, though slightly shaggy, still provide a decent putting experience that challenges golfers' skills. While a few dried-up spots can be found on both fairways and greens, it's important to consider the season – the course's overall condition is commendable given the winter weather.
Despite the winter-related challenges, the course remains an enjoyable choice for golf enthusiasts looking to get their swings in. The management's efforts to maintain the course and keep it playable are evident, and with the perspective of the season in mind, the experience is quite positive. As spring approaches, golfers can look forward to the rejuvenation of the fairways and greens, providing an even more satisfying game.
Used to live in Dayton for 15 years between 2005-2020 and the course was amazing and for the majority of that time it was a GREAT deal rate wise Rick Vaughn was awesome and ran it great but recently returned to town for a week and played 5 rounds and the course has gone down the drain I think Arnold Palmer would be sad to see his course look that way… the greens used to be quick and smooth but now they are shaggy, bumpy and slow and sometimes it was hard to tell the fairways apart from the rough, they had us hitting off the mats on the range in the middle of summer and the range balls are clearly still the same ones from 15 years ago it was definitely disappointing because I was truly excited to go back and play one of my favorite courses that I grew up hopefully the next time I am in town it’s a better experience but the food was awesome at least they can hang their hat on that
Arnold Palmer, who I know met, would not like his name on a brown, beat up golf course,I've been playing Dayton since 2017, it's always brown, #17, hole is terrible, standing water in September, seems to me someone could figure out better sprinkler coverage and not flood the course, club is 100% better than ever.
1st and last time at this place. They got the order wrong, didn't get what I paid for, and the quality was terrible! I should have checked the bag before leaving, but didn't & now regret it.
